Dictionary of Practices
This project aims to publish an open encyclopedia of business and professional practices in order to make a contribution—societal impact—to both business education and business culture according to virtue ethics theory and, particularly, New Natural Law.

In particular, the project will seek to create a permanent editorial board responsible for conducting the publication of an open online articles on existing and new practices defined and categorized according to a New Natural Law criterion, that is, (i) defined as the object of action as defined by Aquinas and (ii) categorized into species of practices according to the parts of justice defined virtue ethics. according to which such practices correspond to organizational, commercial or corporate business and professional ethics.
Observatory of Professional Ethics Education
An essential motivation of this project is to provide business and professional ethics professors with virtue-ethics–based content and teaching resources that enable them to improve their instructional effectiveness and, more importantly, to convey a conception of personal work and professionalism consistent with virtue ethics and New Natural Law theory. Accordingly, we regard a longitudinal study (observatory) on business and professional ethics education as a strategic resource, aimed at observing:

-
The academic offering of professional ethics education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
-
An economic assessment of professional ethics education, including the costs of offering such programs.
-
The number of students enrolled in (or not enrolled in) professional ethics programs.
-
The inclusion of professional ethics education in the learning objectives of undergraduate and graduate programs.
-
Social, legal, and public demand for professional ethics education across undergraduate and graduate programs.
-
Professors’ training and educational background.
-
Program content and teaching resources.
So far, this work has made a significant advance by recollecting the information of approximately 2000 programs in Chile.
100+ Short Cases on Professional Ethics
This line of work aims to publish 100 or more short cases that enable students to identify practices in organizational, commercial, and corporate ethics, and to argue whether those practices are ethically good or bad.

With respect to its social impact, these cases are intended to be published on our website either free of charge or at a low subscription cost, for the purpose of building a database.
Instructional Platform
This line of work aims to develop an analytical framework, implemented through a SaaS platform, for assessing undergraduate and graduate students using business and professional ethics cases.

The platform will be structured around a rubric grounded in the principles, concepts, and practices of business and professional ethics as defined by New Natural Law theory. Data derived from students’ assessment performance will be used in a research paper on the teaching of business ethics.

With respect to its societal impact, the platform will require the research group to address issues of scalability among business and professional ethics instructors.
